The producer

Who are they?

Alois Lageder's story began in 1823 when Johann Lageder entered the wine trade. Six generations later, the family continues its work in Magrè, Alto Adige. The acquisition of the Löwengang estate in 1934 was a major milestone. The winery later became known for its commitment to sustainable viticulture and biodynamic farming. Today Alois Clemens, Helena and Anna Lageder represent the sixth generation, working with a broad diversity of grape varieties to explore the region's many Alpine growing conditions.

Their approach

What sets them apart.

01

Biodynamics

The family vineyards are farmed biodynamically, seeking balance among soils, plants, animals and human activity.

02

Diversity

The winery works with around thirty grape varieties, including experimental ones, to explore Alto Adige's diversity.

03

An Alpine perspective

Elevation, exposure and soil differences are central to a range designed to express Alto Adige's many faces.

Why we follow them.

Because Lageder makes Alto Adige understandable without oversimplifying it. The estate connects familiar grapes, elevation, biodiversity and biodynamic farming in especially clear wines.
