The estate

Les Bacchantes was born from a family project led by Sébastien Daoust and his father Jacques. From the business world, they chose to move into viticulture with an approach that suits them: methodical, thoughtful and attentive to detail.

In Hemmingford, this rigor shows itself as much in the vines as in the cellar. But behind the calculations and technical decisions, the idea remains deeply human: to create wines that accompany the moments we share, without complicating the pleasure of opening them.

Four things to know.

01

A family story

Sébastien and Jacques Daoust conceived the vineyard as a joint project. Today, Sébastien continues this family venture in Hemmingford.

02

A taste for precision

Here, decisions are made methodically. From vineyard layout to work in the cellar, every step is thought through with care.

03

Evolving cuvées

B1, B2, R1 or M1. The letters and numbers tell the story of a range that evolves, with constant attention paid to each wine.

04

In the vineyard

Seyval blanc · Vidal · Marquette · Pinot noir

Why Les Bacchantes.

A place here is earned. This is what convinced us.

Because we like the idea of putting as much thought into making a wine as there is simplicity in the pleasure of drinking it. Les Bacchantes cultivate a precise approach, but their true starting point remains the moment the bottle is opened.
