Who are they?
Val Caudalies was born in 2005 in Dunham from the project of three friends who learned the winemaking craft directly in the field. More than twenty years later, they are still at the helm of the estate and continue to explore the possibilities of northern viticulture. On 45 hectares opening onto Mont Pinacle, the vineyard mainly grows hybrid and hardy grape varieties adapted to Quebec’s climate. Production doesn’t stop at wine: ciders, vermouths and more experimental creations are also part of the estate’s identity. An approach that has allowed Val Caudalies to develop a personality all its own on the Wine Route.

Varieties suited to the climate
The vineyard mainly works with hybrid and hardy grape varieties chosen for their ability to adapt to Quebec’s winters and growing conditions.
Experimentation as a common thread
Since 2005, the estate has explored wine as well as cider and vermouth, producing a mix of classic cuvées and more unexpected creations.
The Vidal as a reference point
In 2008, Val Caudalies released a dry white made entirely from Vidal, a grape variety that remains closely tied to the estate’s history and identity.

Guided tasting of about 40 minutes, terraces, shop, picnic tables and a walk through the vineyard. Open seasonally from May 1 to October 31. Reservation required for groups of 9 people or more. Check hours before your visit.
