The producer
Who are they?
Fred Loimer took over the family estate in Langenlois in 1998 and quickly established a very personal vision of Austrian wine. After challenging conventions in the 1990s, he began converting the estate to biodynamics in 2006 and co-founded respekt-BIODYN the following year. Today, Loimer works mainly in the Kamptal, with Grüner Veltliner and Riesling as signature varieties. The wines aim first and foremost to express their place of origin, using spontaneous fermentations, patient ageing and minimal intervention in the cellar.

For Fred Loimer, a wine's personality comes first and foremost from its place. Vineyard and cellar work aim to preserve that identity rather than impose a uniform style.
Biodynamics as a foundation
The estate has been biodynamic since 2006 and seeks to operate as a living agricultural organism, respecting soils, plants, animals and natural rhythms.
Minimal intervention in the cellar
Spontaneous fermentations, indigenous yeasts, extended ageing and limited interventions allow the wines to retain their character and energy.
