Who are they?
Zenato's story begins in 1960 in San Benedetto di Lugana with Sergio Zenato and Carla Prospero. Convinced of Lugana's potential and of its emblematic grape, Turbiana, they first developed the estate on the southern shores of Lake Garda. The family then expanded into Valpolicella Classica, where it produces Valpolicella, Ripassa and Amarone, and more recently into Bolgheri. Today, Alberto and Nadia Zenato continue the family project. With nearly one hundred hectares of vineyards, Zenato connects several Italian territories while maintaining a particular focus on local grape varieties and the identity of each place.

The estate's story begins on the shores of Lake Garda around Turbiana, Lugana's emblematic grape and Sergio Zenato's first major gamble.
The depth of Valpolicella
At Costalunga, in Valpolicella Classica, the estate works notably with Corvina, Rondinella and other local grape varieties to produce Valpolicella, Ripassa and Amarone.

Because Zenato lets you discover two very different faces of the Veneto under a single signature. Lugana shows the freshness and finesse of Lake Garda whites, while Valpolicella Superiore offers an excellent introduction to the local grape varieties before moving on to Ripasso and Amarone.

Zenato offers visits and tastings at Tenuta S. Cristina, in the heart of Lugana. Experiences include exploring the vineyards, the cellar and a guided tasting. Reservations are required for visits; the wine shop in Peschiera del Garda is also open Monday to Saturday.
