Baden
Baden stretches across southwestern Germany along the Rhine and up to the edge of the Black Forest. It is one of the country’s most southerly and warmest wine regions, but its very varied geography allows for wines with many different profiles. Pinot noir plays an important role there, alongside several white grape varieties. Riesling also finds terroirs capable of producing dry, precise and mineral-driven wines.

Baden is located in southwestern Germany. Its vineyard area stretches along a long strip of land following the Rhine valley, from the Swiss border northward, with the Black Forest nearby.

Baden generally enjoys a warmer, sunnier climate than many other German wine regions. Proximity to the Rhine, the terrain and differences in altitude, however, create numerous microclimates. This diversity allows both good fruit ripeness and the freshness needed for balanced wines.
