The Rhône Valley follows the river of the same name and brings together two rather different wine worlds. In the north, steep hills are especially the domain of Syrah. Further south, the climate becomes distinctly Mediterranean and blends take center stage, with Grenache as a central figure. It’s an ideal region for understanding how climate, grape varieties and blending can completely transform a wine’s style.
